From Haunted House to Ghost Hunter
Amy Bruni was born on July 10, 1976, in Sacramento, California, where she lived in a house that was said to be haunted. Since her father was an amateur paranormal investigator, she was exposed to the world of the supernatural from a young age. She claimed to have seen the ghost of the landlord’s son, who died in World War II, when she was only six years old. This sparked her fascination with the paranormal, and she read books by Hans Holzer, a famous ghost hunter. She also liked to explore cemeteries, old buildings, and historical sites with her father and friends. Amy did not reveal much about her formal education, but she attended college.
Amy began her career as a project manager at a health insurance company, but she pursued paranormal activities as a hobby during weekends. She made a podcast about her ghost encounters, which attracted the attention of the producers of Ghost Hunters, a popular show by Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson from Rhode Island. They invited her to join them for an episode they were filming in California. Amy then quit her office job and became a member of The Atlantic Paranormal Society (TAPS).
